Laura and I thought we should experience a sunrise in Australia, so up we woke at 5:30 and headed down to the beach. Unfortunately there was a bit too much cloud in the way so it wasn't quite the sunrise we were hoping for. Nevertheless we took an early morning stroll along the beach looking for crocs and crabs. This morning the girls convinced me to try horse riding so that's exactly what we did. Turned up and Laura got 'Oscar' the horse and I got 'Hellboy'.... great! Didn't sound great! Jumped on and got the hang of it pretty quickly. Off we walked, and then it was time to trot. The dude said just hold on and stand up. So that's what I did and off we went. It was actually so fun. Laura's horse was a lazy one so she had to get him started. We then appeared on the beach with our horses and bumped across the sand before going into the water. This was when Stevo warned me that Hellboy liked to cool down and may sometimes lye in the ocean. Right then...okay! All of a sudden down he went and I had to hop off while he splashed about and cooled himself down. I then jumped back on and not before long he was down in the sea again. He loved it!! Well at least I could practise getting on and off a horse. So Hellboy was all cool and I was all wet ahahah! Great fun. On the way back we got to canter, which is a sprint on a horse. It was madness, I was bumping up and down all over the place! Laura managed to get Oscar to kick into gear and got to canter as well! Didn't think I would enjoy horse riding so much, but it was brilliant! We then headed back to Mossman with a hitchhiker we picked up at our hostel. After dropping her off and grabbing some lunch we zoomed off down the Australian countryside to a sweet little town called Yungaburra. Rude not to pop into the local pub and grab a tinnie! Up next we wondered down to the river and tried to spot some platypuses which turned out to be unsuccessful :( back we went for dinner and cards to end our last night together. Off to bed zZzZz
