First proper day in Nepal and we are off! We started off the day by visiting the Buddha's birthplace! Really cool place with a lot of amazing scenery! Amongst the heat we saw the prayer tree with flags hanging up, representing: Earth, water, fire, wind and air. Great place and on we went. Next stop was our community honestly! Just before, we stopped for lunch in the Nepalese mountains which was beautiful and enjoyed the best veg noodle soup. Arrived with a warm welcome from the community, receiving a blessing from the locals! We were showed to our rooms which were cosy little huts. Cycle time! We all set off for a nice evening cycle around the Nepalese rice fields and ending up at the nearby river known as the Ganges of Nepal, to sip on some chai and cookies. Arrived back a lot sweater than ever before and was rushed away to be dressed in the local dress. Laura in a sari and me in a pair of Ali baba trousers. After dinner we were invited to watch a local dance and were then asked to join in. For someone that doesn't dance Loz was sure busting some Nepalese moves. Anyway safari tomorrow over and out.
