After a well deserved sleep, we were up and ready to explore Pokhara. Believe it or not but it was raining. So the pac-a-macs were out! We walked to the nearby lake in Pokhara and got a wonderful view of the mountains and a little bit of the Himalayas. We also saw a local boy no older than 6 fishing by himself with a bottle and string! He was seemingly successful. After a wonder, it was shopping time for mainly the girls, but i did not come home empty handed. Now it gets exciting... Paragliding! The majority of us had booked in for paragliding which was an optional activity! So we found a break in the weather and up the mountains we went! We got to our running platform and unfortunately the fog had risen up the mountain which meant you couldn't see 5 metres ahead of you. So we waited and waited but no luck! It was a no go! Sadly we all had to return to the bottom and continue shopping... Wonderful views on the way up though! Also it hurts me to mention but the group before us went earlier and they had clear weather :( anyways, on we go! After a little bit more shopping it was time to go to dinner. Tonight's dinner was based at a organisation that saved people from human trafficking where we made Momos (Local Nepali dumplings) and had tradition Nepali Thali (Nepali main dish). It was a great evening and we were made aware of how big of a problem trafficking is in Nepal and other countries. On a full stomach we wondered back to a bar in the centre of the city and had a few drinks. Good way to end of a good day.
