It was time to say goodbye to Halong bay! It was beautiful, but back to Hanoi we went. Back into the buzzing centre of Hanoi, offloaded and wondered around town to explore. We stopped off at a side stall selling baguettes. Everyone was a big sceptical at first, but this was rated the best Banh Mi place in the city. Banh Mi is a traditional Vietnamese sandwich full of meat, salad, chillies and pate! It was delicious, defo better than Subway haha! After our walk we headed for lunch. Skinless whole chickens, hearts, liver and intestine. Yeah very traditional! It was rice or noodles for most people. Next up, we tried the famous Egg Coffee! Now sounds weird, but it's great! It's egg whites mixed with coffee! Big hit with the group, people had to go back. Back to the hotel, to chill for a bit. Dinner and then bed.Â
