Who's needs gym...

Busy and exciting day ahead. Rise and shine!! Today was an activity filled day: Tubing, Kayaking and finally a visit to the blue lagoon. Up and away, we headed off to elephant cave where we would kick start the day with Tubing. With our Inflatable rings and head torches ready we headed off down into a pitch black cave with a rope to guide our way. What an awesome experience, in total darkness headed down into the unknown. After 30/40 minutes we made it back into daylight and headed back to the bus. On route we stopped by the elephant temple, which was situated in the mountainside. Not a very big temple but a very cool one in terms of its location. Kayaking time! Laura and I shared a kayak. I was at the back and had to stir. We got off to a dodgy start but found our rhythm eventually and we were cruising. Who would have thought we'd be kayaking down the Nam Song river in Laos. Crazy crazy crazy. Parked up the kayaks and stopped for lunch, a nice BBQ made by the locals. Awesome setting for a lovely lunch, until we got rudely interrupted by some cows that liked the look of our food. After feeding them our banana leaves we hopped back in the kayaks and paddled another 5km or so. Onto our final activity which was the blue lagoon. Not enough space in the truck, so I had to stand on the back of it and hold on for dear life. Now that would never happen back in the UK. Arrived and jumped straight into the lagoon. The lagoon wasn't very wide but was fairly deep, which allowed us to jump in off a tree they had created. It was basically a Laos 5m diving board made of tree. After a few jumps and getting everyone else to jump it was time to spice things up. So I started off with backflip off the smaller tree. Not to hard. Then Tom W made a deal that if he front flipped off the top I would have to backflip off the top. I was reluctant. But after watching Tom successfully jump I was up. I was nervous, but smashed it! 5m backflip in Laos Jungle, tick!! After a few more we all had enough and headed back. Showered, changed and out for dinner. Nice to have a rest after a mad day! But it didn't end there, we ended up going out. Out we went, and walked in at 1/1:30. Laos is performing, and we are loving it!
