Alarms beeping at 5am, it was time to head back to the boat to continue our journey along the Mekong river. Half asleep we walked down to the boat which was waiting for us on the riverside. On we hopped and back to bed we went for a couple more hours. Breakfast!! Awoke for breakfast then enjoyed the rest of our gentle cruise heading towards the Thailand border. Along the way we past elephants drinking on the riverside, locals fishing and stopped off at a local floating market. By 3:30 we had arrived at the border and we're ready to stamp out of Laos. It had been great, one of the most awesome places I have been to date. Loved it! Stamp, stamp, stamp! More ink in the passport and we are now in Thailand for our last leg of the trip. As we were walking through we got the news through about the U.S election, which sparked conversation for the evening to come. Felt nice to be back in Thailand, don't know why? Maybe because we had been here and knew what to expect maybe? Arrived at our overnight hostel and out for dinner by the river. Another chilled evening and off to bed after a long days travel. Chiang Mai is next!Â
