Rafting and Rumbling!

Today was the day to hit the local river! On route to our starting point we all took in the local scenery and got a little more nervous the closer we got! Only mum had previous done white water rafting so we didn't know what to expect! We arrived, safety rules learnt, kit on, a little practise and it was time! In we got, first off it wasn't too bad. But that was the calm bit of the river. Well wow, what fun did we have!!! It was awesome, bashing and crashing into rocks and speeding down these rapids, it was awesome! So much fun, we even dropped down this 4 metre high dam, which was insane. Loved every minute! We got lunch with our trip which was good as we were exhausted afterwards. Dropped back at the hotel and in the pool of course. Not for long though, a storm was brewing! A crazy storm, thunder crackling and lightening flashing! It was non stop and so very loud. In our little river side house hut we were living in, we all watched out and didn't dare leave. A couple of hours later it passed and we made our way to a little local restaurant on the road and had a lovely meal before returning to bed.
