Aboriginals

First early start for a while! 4am wake up and it was time to catch a train. Picked up a few bits from the bakery and then got on our train which was taking us from Airlie Beach up to Tully. Six hours later we arrived at Tully and were introduced to some local aboriginal people who educated us on their culture and how they survive off the rainforest. Did you know there were over 240 types of aboriginal tribes all over Australia. They all speak different languages and survive off different environments and surroundings. After a little talk we had a go ourselves by painting some boomerangs with traditional patterns. Cool little experience and a good insight into the aboriginal way of living! We then continued our adventure up towards Cairns, where we looked around the night market, grabbed some munch and headed to the lagoon (man made beach). Big day tomorrow so off to sleep. The end is getting closer :(
