Kangaroo and Boomerangs

Up and out today. Firstly we visited a shipwreck which had been washed up on Fraser Island for over 80 odd years. It was fascinating seeing all the worn down insides of the ship. Oh also it was swarming with jellyfish. Bluebottles, big ones, small ones, they were everywhere! From the shipwreck to Eli Creek, where we swam in the fresh waters and floated down to the seafront. Probably the freshest water I have ever swam in, it was cooling but so nice and relaxing!! Back to mainland :(( once we had hit mainland we drove to meet another big 4x4 bus which would take us into the Everglades. There are only two Everglades in the world. The Australian and Florida Everglades. We made our way down to the river where we jumped of a tree into the crocodile and shark invested river. Fortunately we didn't get into any encounters. After back flipping and diving of this 5 metre high tree, we grabbed a few canoes and paddle down the river for 30/40 minutes. The Everglades were really cool, full of animals, weird plants and dark gloomy waters. The sun was beating down today, so we could feel it in the canoe. We kept ourselves cool and paddled in the shade. But to the bus and we ventured to our camp site where we would stay. Bags out and showered we had a classic Aussie barbie, followed by a boomerang demonstration. Laura and I soon got the hang of it and want to invest in one on our way round. Don't forget the kangaroos that were just chilling in the fields. We got up close and grabbed some snaps. Selfie with a kangaroo, tick! Chilled with the group and then grabbed some sleep. Goodnight.
