Today we caught a plane. Not a domestic plane. It was a tin can. Why? Because we were jumping out of it! SKYDIVING!!
Early start, 6am grabbed the bus to the airfield where we would be skydiving. The nerves on the bus were kicking in but everyone was excited as well! All checked it and now it was the waiting game. The first dives were delayed by 30 mins because of the weather. Conditions cleared and off they went. Up in a plane and down on a parachute. It was so strange watching them land right in front of us, knowing it would be us in an hour. Finally names called and up we went, kitted up and briefed. Now I was nervous, my days!! We loaded into the plane and up we went. Every metre we climbed, the realisation got more and more insane. Up and up and up we went, with incredible views over Bryon Bay. Harnesses tightened. It was go time. I was 6th in the order and Laura was 2nd. I nervously watched on as one by one people dropped out this tin can of a plane at 14,000 feet! Australia's highest skydive! Laura dropped out with no hesitation and was gone! By this point I was bricking it!!! So the first five people went and then the plane had to loop around so I was sat at the door for a good 3/4 minutes, it was terrifying! The. Suddenly 3,2,1...!!! I can't put into words the feeling when you are free falling. It was so crazy!! Start off like where am I as you spin around. Then you level out and you are buzzing! It was nuts! Parachute up and then the views were incredible, all along the coast up to the Gold Coast! I 100% recommend to anyone. The buzz afterwards is insane! So much fun! After recovering from the skydive and looking through all the pictures and videos it was time to chill for the rest of the day. Hit up the pool, then went out for dinner and hit the club for a bit before returning to bed and thinking about the fact I was falling through the sky earlier that day! Still buzzing! Night!Â
