Exciting day today!!!! The proper Great Barrier Reef! Totally awesome dude!!! 11 of us had booked to go and dive or snorkel the Great Barrier Reef. And that's what we did. Down to the Cairns harbour where we picked up a boat and blasted off into the great Australian ocean. Four of us were scuba diving and the rest where snorkelling. Laura and I were scuba diving because why not! It's the best place to do it. All kitted up and ready to dive we jumped into the water and down we went. It was like putting your head into 'Nemo' the film and seeing all kinds of marine creatures. It was fantastic. The corals wrangled from brain looking ones to mini trees. It was nuts but wicked! After the dive we had time to quickly join the others who were snorkelling. Beautiful Reef. Absolutely amazing. Lunch and straight off into our second dive which was even better. It's a different world down there. Once again we snorkelled afterwards and saw a turtle again and swam with a stingray. The Great Barrier Reef is awesome! All worn out we found our way back to the hostel where we prepared to go out for our final night together as a group. It was charity shop checkout time. Everyone had previously bought an item of clothing from the thrift shop (charity shop) for no more than five dollars. Blindfolded we had to pick an outfit and wear it out that evening. Laura got lucky with some funky 70's trousers however I got elderly women's dress that reached below my knees. It wasn't ideal Hahahaha but cracked on with it and had a good laugh. Our final meal was lovely with awesome comments from everyone. It was only fitting to finish the day off with a bit of dancing. Danced the night away. Another wicked day! Peace.Â
